Investment Permit & License

After an owner contribution of 150,000 USD, In September 21, GreenCoal Ethiopia PLC received it’s Business Registration and Investment license (Permit) under the Ethiopian Investment Commission’s (EIC), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Directive.

– Over the last year, we have held extensive talks with the Ethiopian government in order to obtain a full endorsement for our technology. We now have full governmental support.

The plan is to replace a majority of all fossil coal usage in the cement industry on a national level. This will be achieved by building 20 production lines, with an annual production capacity in excess of 1.2 million tons of GreenCoal.

The project will give tens of thousand individuals such as landless farmers, youth organizations, cooperatives and individuals a sustainable income.

Moreover, it will result in large Foreign Exchange savings for the Ethiopia.
